Rychiger Canada x Aya Design In Style

Company: Rychiger Canada
Location: 82 St Regis Crescent North, Toronto, North York
The modern office is no longer a static space, it’s a strategic asset. For Rychiger Canada’s Toronto headquarters, this wasn’t just a renovation. It was a transformation of how their company performs, collaborates, and welcomes the world.

At 82 St. Regis Crescent North in North York, Aya Design In Style was tasked with delivering a complete office redesign. Our goal? To elevate both space and strategy, to reflect Rychiger’s operational evolution and future ambitions.
From Operational Strain to Strategic Flow
Rychiger Canada’s facility combined office and light industrial functions, which presented unique design challenges. The existing 3,000 sq.ft. footprint needed to support sales, service, admin, and leadership operations, all while enhancing the company’s brand and improving daily flow.
We expanded and reimagined the space to 3,650 sq.ft., creating:
2 boardrooms
4 private offices
Open work areas
2 lunch rooms
3 washrooms
A welcoming guest lobby
Strategic Zoning: Public vs. Private

Managing visibility and access is often overlooked in commercial design. Rather than relying on hard partitions, we used orientation, lighting, and materials to create natural thresholds between client-facing zones and back-of-house areas. This clean separation balances openness with essential privacy, subtle, but powerful.

A Space That Works Harder
Rychiger’s leadership team envisioned more than updated finishes, they wanted a space that empowered their people, elevated the brand, and welcomed clients with confidence. That meant designing for more than just aesthetics.

Key Objectives:
Consolidate customer service, sales, and admin under one roof
Improve collaboration and hospitality experiences
Elevate the brand image through physical design
Enhance team performance and cross-departmental flow
Highlights of the Transformation
A Striking Entry Experience
Warm yet modern textures, contrast colour palettes, and refined lighting created an inviting reception and lounge that support both hospitality and client intake. This space doubles as a retreat and casual meeting spot, setting the tone for the entire office.

Reception & Client Lounge
More than just a welcome desk, the reception and adjacent client lounge were designed to leave a lasting impression. With refined lighting, a warm contrast palette, and soft seating, this area balances structured client intake with the ease of informal hospitality—setting the tone for professionalism and comfort from the very first step inside.

Public & Quiet Lounge Areas
Not every interaction needs a meeting room. Dedicated lounge areas offer space for informal conversations, solo reflection, or decompressing between tasks. These zones are essential for supporting both team wellbeing and spontaneous collaboration—subtle layers that contribute to a high-performance environment. The area contains a Breakout & a Café Zone, with durable materials, layered lighting, and soft seating support informal interaction and wellness. These multi-use spaces encourage spontaneous collaboration and give teams a break from task-heavy zones.

Workstation Neighborhoods
The open workspace was reorganized into distinct zones with ergonomic desking, integrated storage, and acoustic finishes, enabling focused individual work without losing visual cohesion.

Formal Boardrooms & Executive Suites
Outfitted with acoustic insulation, bespoke furnishings, and full audiovisual integration, these rooms support high-stakes meetings and hybrid collaboration with executive presence and comfort.

Commercial Lunch Rooms
Often underestimated, well-designed lunch areas improve morale and productivity. Even small, narrow spaces were transformed into necessary respites for staff across departments.

Design Cohesion Through Colour and Texture
The transformation was guided by a carefully curated palette of warm, natural tones layered with bold contrasts. This was more than an aesthetic choice—it was a strategic one. The colours, textures, and lighting were selected to create a cohesive visual language that supports team wellbeing, reflects brand sophistication, and enhances the overall experience of the space. Paired with biophilic elements, the palette brings calm, clarity, and energy to every corner of the office.
The Impact: Real Results
This renovation didn’t just change how the space looked, it transformed how the company works. From daily team interactions to client feedback and operational efficiency, the shift is tangible.
Design priorities included:
A cohesive environment for sales, service, and leadership
A modern front-of-house experience for visiting clients
Collaborative zones promoting focus, alignment, and creativity
A physical expression of the company’s international calibre and growth trajectory
