Intelligent Interiors: How Smart Home Design Shapes Modern Luxury

In the world of luxury interiors, design has always been about more than aesthetics. It’s about experience, how a space feels, functions, and responds to the people who inhabit it. As technology continues to evolve, so too does our approach to design. Today, the most luxurious homes don’t just look exceptional, they think.
At Aya Design in Style, we’ve long embraced the idea that great design is both beautiful and intelligent. Our visit to the Living Luxe Design Show only reinforced this belief, as we explored a new wave of integrated home technology designed not to compete with style, but to elevate it.
Moorgen: When Form and Function Are One
One of the standout innovators is Moorgen, a global leader in intuitive smart home systems. Their minimalist, high-performance solutions allow homeowners to manage lighting, temperature, security, and entertainment, all from seamlessly integrated panels and devices that feel as considered as the spaces themselves.

What sets Moorgen apart isn’t just what their systems do, but how they look and feel. Their interfaces are designed to be unobtrusive, elegant, and tactile—built for modern living with architectural clarity.
Most impressive of all is their Zaha Hadid-designed smart panel, a sculptural piece that reimagines what a control interface can be. More than a screen or a button, it’s a design element in its own right—fluid, futuristic, and unmistakably high-end. It’s a perfect reflection of how smart design can become part of the architectural narrative.
“The future of interiors isn’t just connected, it’s intuitive, beautiful, and deeply personal.” - Aya Design in Style
Design, Connected
While Moorgen took centre stage during our time at the Living Luxe Design Show, their work reminded us of the wider movement toward elegant, lifestyle-enhancing technology in the home.

Brands like Bang & Olufsen, renowned for their seamless audio integration and iconic product design, and Gira, with their clean, modern video home systems, also reflect this shift. Though not part of the show, their work exemplifies how functionality and aesthetics can coexist beautifully in a well-designed space.
Our Approach: Integrating Tech with Intent
At Aya Design in Style, we don’t view smart home features as add-ons or afterthoughts. We see them as part of the design brief, an opportunity to enhance a client’s lifestyle through systems that feel effortless and beautifully embedded into the overall aesthetic.

Whether it’s the glow of perfectly timed lighting, the subtle movement of automated shades, or the confidence of secure entry control, we work to ensure that every system complements the home it’s placed in.
Because in today’s world, luxury isn’t just what you see, it’s what you feel, what you control, and how seamlessly your space responds to you.
